🎃 Happy October! 🎃
Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed a very restful and spirit-filled conference weekend! Our Young Women were so excited to make their "Conference Journals" and "Gratitude Journals" last week, and I know I was fueled by their enthusiasm for this time of year. One of the highlights of conference for me was reading the *new* For the Strength of Youth manual, which was released Saturday morning. Although it is different from the version we've been used to for so long, as I've reflected on what I've read, I am excited by the encouragement and advice it contains. It inspires our youth to "turn to the Savior. He is the 'strength of youth,'" and it teaches them, "Jesus Christ is your strength. He has done everything necessary for you to have joy in this life and forever. By choosing Him and His gospel, you are choosing eternal joy." I love this perspective on the importance of the choices we make. If you haven't taken a moment to read this important instruction, please do! It can be found in the Gospel Library by clicking on "Youth" and then "For the Strength of Youth Guide."
Here's what the Young Women have coming up this month...
SUNDAYS
Thank you to Marcie Mortensen, Bridget Moulton, and Lizzy Mitchell for leading excellent discussions in September. We learned how to be clean and happy again after we make mistakes and all about our responsibilities in the work of salvation and exaltation. These lessons were SO SO GOOD!
- October 9, JULIANN SOUTHAM and MCKENNA WEBSTER will teach "Why Should Jesus Christ Be Central in My Life?" to separate Young Women classes.
- October 23, TAYLOR REMINGTON will teach "Is the Gospel Written in My Heart?" to all of the Young Women.
Also:
- KORIE BROWN and KAYLA KOLDEWYN are responsible for ushering during sacrament meetings in October. Thank you!
- Youth class presidencies meet every Sunday for about 10 minutes immediately after church.
