Young Women ~ February 2023
❤️ We LOVE February! ❤️
During this month of all things love (and football!), I hope you know how much we love our Young Women. They are so talented, kind, and smart. They do so many incredible things, and they are dear dear friends with each other, which I know brings them added strength as they navigate life. I sincerely miss them when they are not with us, and I regularly find myself in awe of their insights, testimonies, and ideas when they are... They are so dear to me and to all of their Young Women leaders!
Speaking of which, we are very excited to welcome Emily Horne as the counselor for our older class. We can't wait to get to know her!

SUNDAYS
THANK YOU to Ayla Hamblin and Bridget Moulton for leading great discussions about how Jesus Christ is a light in our lives in January. We also enjoyed seeing all of our wonderful parents at the Fifth Sunday meeting on January 29. Gathering with you was so fun!
Our Young Women Sunday discussions are every second and fourth Sunday at 1 p.m. in the classrooms in the southeast corner of the back hallway of the church. This month, the following Young Women have volunteered to lead our discussions:
- February 12, BRITTANA ALEXANDER and KAYLA KOLDEWYN will lead all of our Young Women in discussing "How Can I Improve My Worship of God?"
- On February 26, CHARLEY ALEXANDER and DANCYNE SEARLE will discuss "How Do the Savior's Teachings Help Me Make Righteous Judgments?" in separate classes.
Also:
- CHARLEY and BRITTANA ALEXANDER are ushering during sacrament meetings in February. Please arrive by 11:45 a.m., and THANK YOU!
- Most Sundays, youth class presidencies meet for about 10 minutes immediately after church for brief presidency meetings.
- This Sunday, February 12, our new class presidencies will meet for an extended Ward Youth Council at 2:15 p.m.
WEEKNIGHT ACTIVITIES
The following activities are scheduled in February. Names in parentheses indicate the young woman or group in charge and leader assisting. Generally speaking, our activities are on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. at the church (although some weeks are different... please keep an eye on your texts for more information).
- February 8 - Class activities
- Younger class: self-care night (Korie, Brittana, Marsha)
- Older class: class member heart attacks (Lizzy, Emily)
- February 15 - Building Combined Activity: TBA (5th Ward)
- February 22 - YW Combined: cookie exchange (Juliann, Melanie)
- March 1 - YM/YW Combined: TBA (Teachers)
ALSO COMING UP
- Saturday, March 4 - Senior Retreat for all high school seniors 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Friday, March 10 - Stake Youth Activity @ Bountiful Rec Center (swimming, racquetball, basketball) 9:15 - 11:30 p.m.
- Saturday, March 18 - Utah Feed food drive: youth will pick up food donations around neighborhood at 9 a.m.
- Tuesday, June 13 - Stake Youth Conference for youth turning 12 or 13 in 2023
- Wednesday-Saturday, June 14-17- Stake Youth Conference for youth turning 14-18 in 2023 (sleepover camp at Cinnamon Creek Camp near Paradise, Utah)
- Thursday-Saturday, July 27-29 - Ward YW Camp at Bear Lake
